Equipment

  • 1 pan
  • 1 garlic press

Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz can Muir Glen Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 TBSP basil, dried
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced having a garlic press make this step fast
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Dash sea salt I use Anasazi Salt

Instructions

  • In a small sauce pan, put all the ingredients. Mix and bring to a boil. Turn heat down and simmer for about 2-5 minutes.
    Pizza Sauce
  • This sauce makes enough for at least 6 10 inch pizzas. Our favorite pizza crusts are purchased frozen from the Utah Food and Meat Co-op. Simply spread the sauce around the pizza crust.
    Pizza Crust with Sauce
  • Top with your favorite toppings. For our kids, they love just plain cheese or cheese and pepperoni. I always top my pizza with just a bit of fresh grated parmesan cheese.
    Pizza with Toppings
  • Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes on parchment paper on a sheet pan or pizza stone(my favorite) and then slide the parchment paper with the pizza off onto the oven rack. Continue to bake until the cheese is melted and the crust is lightly browned.
