Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs

Instant Pot hard boiled eggs are quick and easy. Grab your instant pot and make a snack that is nutrient dense and high in protein.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 brown eggs
  • 1 C water

Equipment

  • 1 Instant Pot with trivet
  • measuring cup

Method
 

  1. Place trivet in Instant Pot. Place eggs on trivet. Pour water in. Seal Instant Pot making sure the vent is in the sealed position. Set to Manual for 4 minutes for large brown eggs.
  2. After the 4 minutes, let it naturally depress for 3 minutes. Then quick release.
  3. Immediately remove eggs and place in an ice bath(large bowl with water and ice)
  4. When eggs are cooled, they are ready to eat. Store in the refrigerator.

Notes

If you are using large white eggs, they seem to have a quicker cook time(at least in my instant pot), so the yolk will turn that grayish color around the edges if you cook the full time of this recipe.  I recommend cooking 3 minutes on manual, then natural depress 2 minutes, then quick release.
