This Meat Rub Spice Rub is great for any type of meat. It works great whether you are smoking your meat, sautéing , broiling, or baking. It is a perfect blend of spices that you will want to keep in your cupboard.

Spice Rub for Meat
Equipment
- 1 mason jar
- measuring spoons
Ingredients
- 4 tsp paprika
- 4 tsp sea salt
- 1 TBSP garlic powder
- 1 TBSP onion powder
- 1 TBSP black pepper
- 1 TBSP dried thyme leaves
- 1 TBSP oregano
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper add more or less to your likiing
Instructions
- In a 1 pt mason jar, add seasoning and replace the lid and shake well until seasonings are well blended.
- Use on any type of meat. My favorite is chicken and pork. The cayenne pepper can be adjusted to your heat preference.
This is the meat rub that I use in my shredded pork when I am using it for sandwiches. The rub is also listed on that recipe.
Everyone should have a versatile spice rub recipe that you always have handy. Of course you can by them at the store, but often there are other added ingredients, and they might not be gluten free. Just make your own! It takes five minutes of your time. And you can easily double or triple this recipe so that you aren’t having to mix it up too often.
